Smag På Dig Selv (meaning “Taste Yourself” in Danish) is a Danish experimental rock band formed in 2016, centered around the songwriting of Søren Cornelius. Emerging from the Copenhagen underground, they quickly garnered attention for their uniquely unsettling and intensely dynamic sound. Their music blends post-punk, noise rock, and elements of jazz and free improvisation, often featuring abrupt shifts in tempo and mood.

The band’s debut album, *Hotmilk*, released in 2018 on Tambourine Laboratories, established their signature style – characterized by Cornelius’s spoken-word/shouted vocals, angular guitar work, and a rhythm section that oscillates between tight precision and chaotic energy. They followed this with *Like A Stone*, released in 2021 on Sacred Bones Records, receiving critical acclaim from publications like Pitchfork and The Wire for its expanded sonic palette and increased focus on textural exploration.

Smag På Dig Selv have toured extensively across Europe supporting acts like Protomartyr and Iceage, further solidifying their reputation as a compelling live act. Their music consistently explores themes of anxiety, alienation, and societal critique delivered with a raw, visceral intensity.
