Sharon Bourbonnais is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, primarily known for her work with the Juno Award-winning folk-rock band, The Bills. Initially a classically trained violinist, Bourbonnais transitioned to guitar and songwriting, becoming a core creative force within the group from their formation in 1991 until their indefinite hiatus in 2017.
Her songwriting often explores themes of memory, place, and personal narrative, delivered with a distinctive vocal style characterized by its clarity and emotional resonance. Beyond The Bills, Bourbonnais has pursued a solo career releasing the critically acclaimed album *Restless Spirits* (2019), showcasing a more introspective and atmospheric sound.
Throughout her career, she's collaborated with numerous artists across various genres. The Bills received multiple Juno nominations and won Best Roots & Traditional Album – Group in 2003 for *Colour & Light*.
