Secret Night Gang is the moniker of Irish multi-instrumentalist and producer, Cian Ó Maolchatha. Emerging in 2017, the project quickly gained traction with its distinctive blend of lo-fi house, jazz-infused electronica, and soulful vocals. Initially self-releasing music on platforms like SoundCloud, Secret Night Gang signed with All Night Vision in 2019.

His debut EP, *Tenderloin*, established his signature sound – warm, nostalgic textures layered with intricate rhythms and a hazy atmosphere. This was followed by the critically acclaimed album *Daydream* (2021), further solidifying his position within the burgeoning “nu-disco” scene. The album featured standout tracks like “Alright” and garnered praise for its emotional depth and sophisticated production.

Ó Maolchatha’s background in jazz performance informs his compositional approach, evident in his use of live instrumentation alongside electronic elements. He's toured extensively supporting artists like Parcels and has received airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music and KCRW. His music consistently explores themes of longing, introspection, and the beauty of everyday moments, creating a uniquely intimate listening experience.
