Samantha Farrell is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, gaining recognition for her soulful vocals and intricate songwriting blending jazz, folk, and R&B influences. Originally from Montreal, she honed her skills busking and performing in local venues before releasing her self-produced debut EP, *Bloom*, in 2017.

Farrell’s breakthrough came with the release of her 2023 album *The Weight of Gold*, praised for its lyrical depth exploring themes of identity, resilience, and societal pressures. The album received nominations for the Polaris Music Prize and a Juno Award for Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year.
