Experience Rymden

Rymden is a critically acclaimed contemporary jazz trio formed in 2018, featuring Norwegian pianist Bugge Wesseltoft, Swedish bassist Dan Berglund, and Swedish drummer Magnus Öström. The group blends modern jazz with elements of electronic music and ambient soundscapes, creating an innovative and atmospheric sonic experience. Each member brings a rich musical legacy: Wesseltoft is renowned for pioneering the nu-jazz movement, while Berglund and Öström are celebrated for their work with the influential jazz band Esbjörn Svensson Trio (E.S.T.).

Rymden’s debut album, *Reflections & Odysseys* (2020), received widespread praise for its emotive compositions and seamless fusion of acoustic and electronic textures. Their follow-up album, *Space Sailors* (2021), further cemented their reputation by exploring expansive themes with intricate improvisations and lush arrangements. The trio’s collaborative approach emphasizes spontaneity and deep musical communication, resulting in performances that are both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant.
