Experience Ruby Jackson
Ruby Jackson (born Ruby Jeanette Jackson, October 28, 1951 – November 23, 2016) was an American R&B and disco singer, best known for her powerful vocals and collaborations with producer/songwriter Patrick Adams. Emerging in the mid-1970s, Jackson initially gained recognition as a session vocalist before releasing her self-titled debut album in 1977 on Perception Records.
Her signature style blended soulful vocals with driving disco beats and funk instrumentation, exemplified by hits like "Sweet Talkin’ Man” and “You’re All I Need.” She frequently collaborated with Adams throughout her career, resulting in several popular dance tracks that found success on both sides of the Atlantic.
Jackson released several albums including *Ruby Jackson* (1977), *From Us to You* (1979), and *Tonight* (1983). While never achieving mainstream superstardom, she became a highly respected figure within the dance music community, influencing later generations of vocalists. Her music has experienced a resurgence in popularity through reissues and sampling by contemporary artists.
