Robin Ticciati is a British conductor renowned for his insightful interpretations and dynamic performances, particularly within the Romantic and 20th/21st-century repertoire. He initially gained prominence as a violinist, graduating from the Royal College of Music before dedicating himself fully to conducting.

Ticciati served as Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra (2009-2018), significantly raising their international profile through critically acclaimed recordings – notably a complete Schubert cycle – and innovative programming. He’s a frequent guest conductor with leading orchestras worldwide, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, and Tonhalle Orchester Zürich.

Known for his meticulous preparation and ability to elicit nuanced playing from ensembles, Ticciati champions contemporary composers alongside established masters. His discography extends beyond Schubert to include works by Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and Britten.
