Roberto Fonseca is a renowned Cuban jazz pianist and composer celebrated for his innovative fusion of Afro-Cuban rhythms with contemporary jazz. Born in Havana in 1975, Fonseca hails from a musical family—his father, Roberto Fonseca Sr., was a notable bassist—which deeply influenced his artistic development. He began playing piano at an early age and quickly established himself as a prodigious talent within Cuba’s vibrant music scene.

Fonseca’s style seamlessly blends traditional Cuban genres such as son, rumba, and Afro-Cuban folkloric elements with modern jazz improvisation, creating a unique and dynamic sound that resonates globally. His virtuosic technique and rhythmic complexity have earned him critical acclaim in the international jazz community.
