Primarily active from the 1970s onward, Lee honed his skills playing in the San Francisco Bay Area blues scene alongside figures like John Lee Hooker and Clifton Chenier.

His style blended traditional Delta blues with elements of jazz improvisation and a touch of gospel influence, creating a uniquely personal sound. He released several albums throughout his career, including “Blues Escape” (1988) and “Standing on Solid Ground” (1996), receiving critical acclaim for his songwriting and guitar work.
