Reeve Carney is an American actor and musician, renowned for his powerfully emotive tenor voice and versatile performance style. He initially gained recognition as a Broadway performer, originating the role of Ardan in *Spring Awakening* (2006), earning a Theatre World Award. Carney’s vocal range and theatrical presence led to further Broadway successes, including the titular role in *Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark* (2011-2014) – a physically demanding and vocally challenging part.
Beyond theatre, Carney fronts the baroque pop band Carney, formed with his brother Zane and friend Shir Yaakov. The band has released three studio albums – *The Sirens’ Song* (2010), *Second Life* (2015), and *Things That Used To Be* (2018) – blending classical influences with modern indie sensibilities.
More recently, he achieved widespread acclaim portraying Hades in the Broadway adaptation of *Hadestown* (2019-2023), winning a Grammy Award as part of the original cast recording.
