Rabih Abou-Khalil is a renowned Lebanese oud virtuoso and composer celebrated for his innovative fusion of traditional Arabic music with jazz, classical, and world music elements. Born in Beirut in 1957, Abou-Khalil studied flute and percussion before dedicating himself to the oud, an iconic Middle Eastern string instrument. Relocating to Germany in the early 1980s, he began crafting a unique musical voice that blends intricate Arabic melodies with Western improvisation and rhythms.

Throughout his prolific career, Abou-Khalil has released over 20 albums as a bandleader, earning critical acclaim for his genre-defying soundscapes.
