Experience Quality Control
Quality Control Music (QC) is an American record label founded in 2013 by Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas. Originating in Atlanta, Georgia, QC quickly became a dominant force in hip-hop, initially through strategic artist development and distribution deals. Their breakthrough came with Migos, whose mixtape *No Label 2* (2013) garnered significant attention, eventually leading to the global success of "Bad and Boujee" (2016) featuring Lil Uzi Vert.
QC’s roster expanded to include prominent artists like Lil Baby, City Girls, Lil Yachty, and Lakeyah. The label is known for cultivating a distinctive trap sound characterized by triplet flows, ad-libs, and energetic production. They pioneered a model focusing on social media marketing and leveraging street buzz into mainstream recognition.
Beyond artist recordings, QC ventured into film and television production with Quality Films. The label has been instrumental in multiple platinum-selling albums and numerous chart-topping singles. In 2023, QC sold a majority stake to HYBE America, signaling continued expansion and influence within the music industry.
