Perrine Devillers is a French-American vocalist, composer, and improviser recognized for her strikingly versatile and technically demanding vocal work. Born in Paris, she initially trained classically before forging a unique path blending jazz, contemporary classical, and extended vocal techniques. Devillers’ career spans collaborations with diverse artists including Nguyên Lê, Joachim Kühn, and Linda Sharrock, demonstrating her adaptability across genres.

She is particularly noted for her solo performances which showcase a remarkable range – from intimate lyrical passages to powerful free improvisation utilizing multiphonics, circular breathing, and vocal percussion. Devillers' discography includes albums like “When Giants Fall” (2017) with Andy Moor and “Lost Roads” (2021) featuring Joachim Kühn, both receiving critical acclaim for their innovative approach to vocal jazz.

Beyond performance, Devillers is an educator, leading workshops internationally on extended vocal techniques and improvisation.
