Pablo Held is a German pianist and composer rapidly gaining international recognition for his unique approach to jazz and improvisation. Born in 1988, Held initially studied classical piano before fully dedicating himself to jazz, completing his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. He’s particularly known for his trio, featuring Hugo Wolf on bass and Jonas Burgwinkel on drums, consistently lauded for their telepathic interplay and dynamic performances.

Held’s style blends deeply rooted jazz traditions with elements of contemporary classical music and free improvisation. His compositions are characterized by complex harmonies, rhythmic sophistication, and a strong melodic sensibility – often described as both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant.

He has released several critically acclaimed albums including *Float*, *Trust*, and *Blueprints* (all ACT Music), earning him awards like the Bavarian Jazz Prize and nominations for the ECHO Jazz award.
