Olga Scheps is a German-Russian pianist renowned for her deeply expressive and technically brilliant performances. Born in Moscow, she began piano studies at age five and later continued at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with Volker Banfield and Elisso Virsaladze. Scheps gained international recognition after winning First Prize at the International Piano Competition Cleveland in 2009, alongside audience and orchestra awards.

Her repertoire spans a wide range, from Bach and Scarlatti to Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev, but she’s particularly celebrated for her interpretations of Scriabin and Liszt. Scheps’ style is characterized by a captivating blend of poetic sensitivity and virtuosic power; critics frequently praise her nuanced phrasing and tonal palette.

She regularly performs with leading orchestras worldwide, including the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich. Scheps has released several critically acclaimed albums on Deutsche Grammophon, including recordings of Scriabin's complete piano sonatas and works by Rachmaninoff. Beyond performance, she is dedicated to chamber music collaborations and actively promotes classical music education.
