Norah Jones

Norah Jones is a highly acclaimed American singer-songwriter and pianist, known for her soulful voice and diverse musical style. Born on March 30, 1979, in New York City, she is the daughter of Indian sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar and concert producer Sue Jones.

Jones' career took off in 2002 with the release of her debut album 'Come Away With Me', which was a fusion of jazz, pop, and country music. The album was a commercial success, selling over 27 million copies worldwide and earning her five Grammy Awards including Album of the Year and Best New Artist. Her distinctive style combines elements from various genres such as jazz, pop, soul, country, folk and blues.

Since then, Jones has released several successful albums including 'Feels Like Home' (2004), 'Not Too Late' (2007), 'The Fall' (2009), 'Little Broken Hearts' (2012), and 'Day Breaks' (2016). Her albums have sold more than 50 million copies globally.

Jones’ musical versatility extends beyond her solo career. She’s collaborated with numerous artists across different genres such as Willie Nelson, OutKast, Herbie Hancock and Foo Fighters. She's also part of the country collective The Little Willies.

Throughout her career spanning almost two decades now, Norah Jones has been recognized with multiple awards including nine Grammys.
