Niek Baar is a Dutch multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer renowned for his atmospheric and emotionally resonant electronic music. Initially gaining recognition as one half of the acclaimed ambient duo, Lemongrass (founded 1999), Baar has since cultivated a prolific solo career alongside continued work with the project. His style blends elements of downtempo, chillout, progressive house, and melodic techno, often incorporating organic instrumentation like piano and guitars alongside synthesized soundscapes.

Baar’s discography includes numerous albums and EPs released on labels like Flashover Recordings (his own imprint) and Blue Orb Records.
