Transitioning into conducting in the mid-2000s, Stutzmann quickly established herself as a distinguished maestro. She founded the chamber orchestra Orfeo 55 in 2011, showcasing her commitment to innovative programming and historically informed performance. In 2020, she made history by becoming the principal conductor of the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra in Norway, one of the few women to hold such a position internationally.
