Musica Alchemica is the project of Italian multi-instrumentalist and composer, Fabrizio Paterlini. Emerging in the early 2000s, Paterlini initially gained recognition for his neoclassical piano compositions, often described as minimalist and emotionally resonant. However, Musica Alchemica evolved beyond solo piano to incorporate electronic soundscapes, ambient textures, and field recordings, creating a unique blend frequently categorized as dark ambient, neoclassical darkwave, and ethereal wave.

Paterlini self-releases extensively through Bandcamp and other digital platforms, fostering a direct connection with a dedicated international fanbase. He has collaborated with artists like Robert Rich and Lachaim, further solidifying his presence within the experimental music community.
