Experience Monstress

Monstress is the stage name of Shayna Maci Warner, an American metal vocalist and lyricist renowned for her extensive vocal range – spanning seven octaves – and unique guttural/operatic style. Emerging in the late 2010s, she initially gained prominence through viral videos showcasing her vocal prowess, particularly covers and demonstrations of extreme vocal techniques.

Warner formally launched Monstress in 2017 with the EP *The Gallery of Bleakness*. Her full-length debut album, *Become the Storm*, followed in 2020, earning critical acclaim for its blend of symphonic death metal, melodic death metal, and progressive elements. Lyrically, Monstress explores themes of psychological horror, mythology, and personal struggle.

She has toured extensively with bands like Arch Enemy, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Septicflesh, establishing herself as a compelling live performer. Notably, Warner independently manages all aspects of Monstress - vocals, instrumentation (guitar/piano), songwriting, mixing & mastering – demonstrating significant artistic control. Her work has been featured on platforms like Revolver Magazine and MetalSucks. Monstress continues to release music independently and build a dedicated fanbase within the extreme metal community.
