Miroslav Sekera (born November 27, 1953, in Prague) is a highly respected Czech composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist primarily known for his work within progressive rock and jazz fusion. He rose to prominence as a founding member of the influential Czech band Collegium, active from 1976-1985, contributing significantly to their complex arrangements and instrumental prowess.

Sekera’s musical style blends elements of symphonic rock, jazz improvisation, and classical influences, often featuring intricate keyboard work – he’s proficient in piano, synthesizers, and organ. Following Collegium's disbandment, he pursued a successful solo career releasing albums like *Na hranici snu* (1988) and consistently collaborating with various artists across genres.

He’s also renowned for his film scores, including work on notable Czech productions. A dedicated educator, Sekera has taught at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. His compositions are characterized by sophisticated harmonies, dynamic shifts, and a strong emphasis on instrumental storytelling.
