Michael England is a highly sought-after session guitarist, songwriter, and producer based in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally from Oklahoma, he began his professional career at 16, touring with country artist Blake Shelton early in Shelton’s rise to fame (2001-2007), serving as his lead guitarist.
England's playing style is deeply rooted in country, but incorporates elements of blues, rock, and Americana – characterized by tasteful phrasing and versatile tone. He's a master of both electric and acoustic guitar. Beyond Shelton, he’s collaborated extensively with prominent artists including Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, and Kelly Clarkson.
He’s known for co-writing several charting singles, including “Drink On It” by Blake Shelton and “Just A Dream” by Carrie Underwood. England also owns and operates Blackbird Studio Nashville alongside Wayne Haun, a facility renowned for its high-quality recording environment and contribution to numerous hit records.
