Marty Isenberg is a Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and session musician known for his prolific output and diverse musical contributions. Beginning his career as a guitarist in the 1980s punk and hardcore scene – notably with bands like The Adolescents – Isenberg transitioned into a remarkably versatile studio and touring musician. He’s collaborated with a wide array of artists across genres, including Tracy Chapman, Neil Young, Joe Strummer (The Clash), and k.d. lang.

Beyond session work, Isenberg is recognized for his work with the band Rank & File, blending country, rockabilly, and punk influences. He’s also a founding member of the supergroup Rubberband, alongside members of The Blasters and Rank & File. Isenberg's playing is characterized by its melodic sensibility and adaptability; he's proficient on guitar, mandolin, banjo, and pedal steel.

He’s contributed significantly to numerous film soundtracks and continues to be an active performer and recording artist, demonstrating a consistent dedication to musical exploration and collaboration throughout his decades-long career.
