Canonge’s career includes extensive collaborations with prominent figures like Wynton Marsalis, Esperanza Spalding (appearing on her *Emily's D+Evolution*), and Stefon Harris. He’s a long-standing member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, showcasing his versatility across diverse repertoire.

His solo work emphasizes original compositions blending Haitian folk melodies with sophisticated jazz harmonies – notably explored on albums like *Manman Dlo* (2018) which celebrates Haitian culture through music. A dedicated educator, Canonge holds positions at several institutions including the Juilliard School.
