Margarita Höhenrieder is a German-Brazilian mezzo-soprano renowned for her interpretations of Baroque and early Classical repertoire, particularly the works of Handel, Vivaldi, and Mozart. Born in Munich, she initially studied violin before dedicating herself to vocal performance at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Professor Irwin Gage.

Höhenrieder’s career blossomed with ensemble work, notably as a founding member of the acclaimed Baroque orchestra *L’Arpeggiata* led by Christina Pluhar. She has since established herself as a highly sought-after soloist internationally, performing with orchestras like Concerto Köln, Il Giardino Armonico, and Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.

Her discography includes numerous award-winning recordings – including a Grammy nomination for *La Notte Stellata* with L'Arpeggiata – showcasing her agile vocal technique and expressive phrasing.
