Marco Lo Russo is an Australian multi-instrumentalist, composer, and musical director renowned for his mastery of the Hammond organ, keyboards, and vocals. Beginning his professional career in the 1970s, he initially gained prominence as a founding member of funk/soul band, Chain, achieving significant chart success with singles like "Black and Blue."

Lo Russo’s career expanded dramatically through extensive collaboration with internationally acclaimed artists including Joe Cocker, Ray Charles, James Brown (as musical director on the 1988 Australian tour), and many others. He’s also worked with Australian icons like Paul Kelly and Diesel.

Known for a soulful, blues-infused style blending rock, jazz, and funk elements, Lo Russo is celebrated for his improvisational skills and dynamic stage presence. He's released several solo albums showcasing his songwriting and instrumental prowess – notably *Hand to Hand* (1993) and *The Devil's Kitchen* (2005).

Beyond performing, Lo Russo has composed music for film and television. He was inducted into the Australian Blues & Roots Music Hall of Fame in 2014, cementing his legacy as a pivotal figure in Australian music history.
