Lucas Dorado is a Chilean-American multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer rapidly gaining recognition for his innovative blend of Latin American folkloric music with electronic and jazz elements. Born in Santiago, Chile, and later based in New York City, Dorado’s musical journey began with classical piano training before expanding to encompass traditional Andean instruments like the charango and quena.

He formally studied at Berklee College of Music, further refining his skills in composition and production. Dorado’s debut album, *Sol y Lluvia* (2023), released on GroundUP Music (the label founded by Snarky Puppy’s Michael League), received critical acclaim for its intricate arrangements and evocative soundscapes. The album showcases his mastery of layering acoustic textures with subtle electronic beats and improvisational jazz harmonies.

Dorado frequently collaborates with artists across genres, demonstrating versatility as both a performer and studio musician. He has toured extensively supporting Snarky Puppy and has been featured at prominent festivals including Newport Jazz Festival.
