Linda May Han Oh is a highly accomplished and influential musical artist who has made significant contributions to the world of jazz and contemporary music. Born in Malaysia and raised in Australia, Oh has established herself as one of the most talented bassists and composers of her generation.

Oh's career began to flourish after she moved to New York City in 2004 to pursue her passion for music. Since then, she has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Pat Metheny, Joe Lovano, Dave Douglas, and Vijay Iyer. Her ability to seamlessly blend different genres such as jazz, rock, and classical music sets her apart from other artists.

Known for her distinctive style and virtuosic bass playing, Oh has released several critically acclaimed albums as a bandleader. Her debut album "Entry" (2009) received widespread recognition for its innovative compositions and impeccable performances. She followed it up with "Initial Here" (2012), which further solidified her reputation as a rising star in the jazz world.

In addition to her solo work, Oh is an integral part of many renowned ensembles. She has been a member of saxophonist Joe Lovano's Us Five since 2010, contributing to their Grammy-nominated album "Bird Songs." Oh is also a key collaborator in guitarist Pat Metheny's Unity Band, which won a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album in 2013.
