Liepājas Simfoniskais Orķestris (Liepāja Symphony Orchestra) is a Latvian professional orchestra based in Liepāja, founded in 1918. Initially established as a military band following Latvia’s declaration of independence, it evolved into a full symphony orchestra by the 1930s. Throughout its history, the orchestra has navigated periods of both flourishing artistic expression and suppression under Soviet rule, maintaining a commitment to high-quality performance.

The orchestra's repertoire spans classical and contemporary works, with a particular focus on Latvian composers like Jānis Mediņš and Imants Kalniņš. They frequently commission new pieces and champion emerging Latvian talent. Under the long-standing leadership of conductors such as Imants Kokars and current Artistic Director & Chief Conductor Māris Kupčs, the orchestra has undertaken numerous international tours across Europe and beyond, performing in prestigious venues.
