Leonardo García-Alarcón is an acclaimed Argentine conductor and harpsichordist renowned for his expertise in Baroque and early music. Born in 1976, García-Alarcón has established himself as a leading figure in historically informed performance, blending rigorous musicological research with vibrant, expressive interpretations. He studied at the National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires and later honed his skills in Europe, where he developed a deep affinity for composers like Claudio Monteverdi, Heinrich Schütz, and Johann Sebastian Bach.

García-Alarcón is the founder and artistic director of Ensemble Clematis and Cappella Mediterranea, two ensembles dedicated to reviving forgotten masterpieces from the 17th and 18th centuries. His recordings have received critical acclaim for their authenticity and emotional depth, earning prestigious awards such as the Diapason d’Or. He has collaborated with major European opera houses and festivals, including the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris and the Festival d’Ambronay.
