Lake Street Dive

Lake Street Dive is an American band that formed in 2004 in Boston, Massachusetts. The group consists of lead vocalist Rachael Price, upright bassist Bridget Kearney, drummer Mike Calabrese, and guitarist/trumpeter Mike Olson. Their unique blend of soul, pop, jazz, and rock has garnered them a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim.

Throughout their career, Lake Street Dive has released several studio albums. Their debut album, "In This Episode..." was self-released in 2006. They gained wider recognition with their third album, "Bad Self Portraits," which was released in 2014 and reached number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their subsequent albums, "Side Pony" (2016) and "Free Yourself Up" (2018), further solidified their success.

One of Lake Street Dive's defining features is lead vocalist Rachael Price's powerful and soulful voice. Her vocal range and emotive delivery have often been compared to legendary singers like Aretha Franklin and Etta James. The band's instrumentation is also noteworthy, with Bridget Kearney's melodic bass lines and Mike Olson's versatile guitar playing adding depth to their sound.
