Kruidkoek, the alias of Dutch producer and DJ Koen Helbert, emerged in the vibrant Amsterdam electronic music scene in the early 2010s. Initially known for his work with labels like Kindred Spirits, he quickly carved a niche blending deep house, techno, and elements of jazz and soul. His sound is characterized by warm, analog textures, intricate percussion, and a distinctly melancholic yet uplifting atmosphere – often described as “Dutch deep.”

Kruidkoek gained wider recognition with releases on Dekmantel, including his acclaimed 2016 EP *Afterglow* and the full-length album *Feel My Vibration* (2018). This solidified his reputation for meticulously crafted productions focused on groove and emotional resonance. He’s a frequent performer at prominent festivals like Dekmantel Festival and Melt! Festival, alongside DJ sets at Berghain/Panorama Bar.

Beyond original productions, Kruidkoek's "Late Night Tales" mix (2023) showcased his curatorial skills and eclectic taste. He continues to release on Dekmantel and explore sonic territories while maintaining a consistent artistic vision rooted in soulful electronic music.
