Knuckle Puck emerged from the Chicago pop-punk scene in 2010, quickly gaining traction with their emotionally raw and energetic sound. Initially a four-piece, the band—currently featuring vocalist Joe Taylor, guitarists Kevin Ma & Nick Granado, bassist Ryan Waltenberg, and drummer John-Michael Hyatt—built a dedicated following through consistent touring and independently released EPs like *Lost in the Static* (2011) and *The Weight That We Carry* (2014).
Their debut full-length album, *Copacetic* (2015), released on Rise Records, showcased a refined blend of melodic hardcore and classic pop-punk sensibilities, earning critical acclaim and charting at #18 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. Subsequent albums *Shame* (2017) and *20/20* (2019) explored increasingly complex themes of anxiety, self-doubt, and relationships while maintaining their signature dynamic instrumentation.
Knuckle Puck is known for Taylor’s vulnerable lyricism coupled with driving guitar work and impactful drumming.
