Kemi Sulola is a Nigerian-British vocalist, songwriter, and improviser rapidly gaining recognition for her unique blend of jazz, soul, and West African musical traditions. Born in London to Nigerian parents, Sulola’s musical journey began with classical piano before evolving through gospel choir participation and ultimately focusing on vocal jazz studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

Her debut EP, *Glow*, released in 2022, established her signature sound – characterized by rich vocal textures, intricate harmonies, and lyrical themes exploring identity, heritage, and personal growth. Sulola frequently incorporates Yoruba language into her compositions, honoring her Nigerian roots. She’s collaborated with prominent artists like Moses Boyd and Nubiyan Twist, showcasing her versatility across genres.

Praised for her captivating live performances and improvisational skills, Sulola has played at renowned venues including Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and the EFG London Jazz Festival. Her music has been featured on BBC Radio 6 Music and Jazz FM. Currently working on her first full-length album (expected 2024), Kemi Sulola is a compelling voice emerging within the contemporary UK jazz scene.
