Kate Lindsey is an American mezzo-soprano renowned for her compelling stage presence and vocal agility. She’s built a significant career performing leading roles at major international opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Vienna State Opera, and San Francisco Opera.

Lindsey frequently portrays characters requiring both dramatic depth and virtuosic coloratura, notably excelling in Rossini repertoire – she’s highly acclaimed for her Rosina in *The Barber of Seville* and Angelina in *La Cenerentola*. Beyond bel canto, she’s garnered praise for her interpretations of Handel (such as Sesto in *Giulio Cesare*) and contemporary works like the Composer in Richard Strauss’ *Ariadne auf Naxos*.

A graduate of the Juilliard School's Opera Center, Lindsey has received numerous awards including a Richard Tucker Award (2015) recognizing exceptional vocal promise.
