Kahil El'Zabar is a renowned American jazz percussionist, composer, and bandleader celebrated for his innovative fusion of traditional African rhythms with modern jazz. Emerging from Chicago’s vibrant jazz scene in the 1970s, El'Zabar co-founded the influential Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, a group pivotal in blending Afrocentric sounds with avant-garde jazz elements.
