Julian Loida is a Filipino-American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City, gaining recognition for his emotionally resonant indie folk and chamber pop sound. Originally from Manila, he moved to the US to study at Berklee College of Music, graduating in 2018. Loida initially built a following through self-released EPs like *Nighttime Birds* (2017) and *The Space Between Us* (2019), characterized by intricate fingerpicking guitar work, layered vocals, and introspective lyricism.

His debut full-length album, *Out of Sight, Out of Mind*, released in 2023 via Nettwerk Music, garnered critical acclaim for its sophisticated arrangements and vulnerable exploration of themes like displacement and longing. The album was preceded by singles "Try" and "Someone Else," both receiving positive press attention. Loida’s style blends influences from artists like Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens with distinctly Filipino musical sensibilities. He frequently tours the US and has opened for acts such as Dodie. His music often incorporates elements of classical instrumentation alongside contemporary indie production techniques, creating a uniquely atmospheric listening experience.
