Experience Jubu
Jubu (born Samuel Dubois in Saint-Étienne, France, 1992) is a French DJ and producer central to the blossoming “French Touch” revival. Initially gaining recognition as half of the duo Paradis with Florent Veil, Jubu launched his solo career in 2018, quickly establishing a distinct sound rooted in house music but heavily influenced by disco, funk, and 90s rave aesthetics.
His productions are characterized by infectious grooves, sophisticated sampling – often drawing from obscure library records – and a warm, analog feel. He’s released on highly respected labels including Roche Musique (founded by Kavinsky), alongside remixes for artists like Parcels and Roosevelt.
Jubu's debut album *Lost Dreams* (2023) received critical acclaim for its seamless blend of nostalgic sounds and modern production techniques, earning features in publications like *Resident Advisor* and *Mixmag*. He frequently tours internationally, performing at prominent festivals such as Dekmantel and Primavera Sound. Beyond original work, he’s known for his expertly curated DJ sets that showcase his deep knowledge of dance music history and his ability to create immersive sonic experiences.
