Joshua Hopkins is a Canadian baritone rapidly gaining international recognition for his compelling stage presence and richly textured voice. Trained at the University of Toronto and the Merola Opera Program, Hopkins has built a diverse repertoire spanning opera, concert, and recital work. He’s particularly lauded for his interpretations of French repertoire, notably appearing as Escamillo in *Carmen* with the Canadian Opera Company (a role debut streamed nationally), and Papageno in *The Magic Flute* for Opera Atelier.

Hopkins frequently collaborates with leading orchestras including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. His concert engagements include performances of Fauré’s *Requiem* and Vaughan Williams’ *Songs of Travel*. He was a 2022/23 Rebanks Family Fellowship Artist with the COC, allowing for intensive artistic development.
