Jontán, born Jontán da Silva in 1996, is a Portuguese singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist rapidly gaining international recognition. Initially rising to prominence through viral TikTok snippets of his emotionally resonant songs, he officially launched his music career in 2020 with the single “Pára.” His sound blends influences from indie pop, bedroom pop, and Portuguese folk traditions – *fado* – creating a uniquely intimate and melancholic atmosphere.

Jontán writes, produces, and mixes his music independently, contributing to its raw and authentic quality. He gained significant traction with his debut EP *Luzes e Sombras* (Lights and Shadows) in 2021, followed by the critically acclaimed album *A Cor do Silêncio* (The Color of Silence) in 2023. This album debuted at #1 on the Portuguese Album Charts and garnered praise for its lyrical depth exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery.
