Jonny Rockford is a British musician best known as the primary songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist for the post-hardcore band, Neck Deep. Forming in Wrexham, Wales in 2012, Neck Deep quickly rose to prominence within the pop-punk revival scene. Rockford’s lyrical themes frequently explore anxieties, relationships, and navigating young adulthood, resonating with a broad audience.
Prior to Neck Deep’s success, Rockford was involved in several local bands. He's credited with shaping Neck Deep's distinct sound – a blend of melodic punk energy reminiscent of early 2000s emo and hardcore influences like Saves the Day and Title Fight.
Neck Deep has released five studio albums: *Wishful Thinking* (2012), *Life's Not Out to Get You* (2015), *The Peace and the Panic* (2017), *All Distortions Are Intentional* (2020), and *The Future Is Blue* (2023). The band has consistently charted on both UK and US Billboard charts, achieving Gold certification for *Life's Not Out to Get You* in the US.
