Born in 1976, Doulcet initially gained prominence as a member of the influential Québécois folk band La Bottine Souriante from 1994-2004, mastering instruments like the piano accordion, harmonica, and hurdy-gurdy within the ensemble.
He launched a successful solo career in 2006 with the album *Nuances*, showcasing his distinctive compositional style – characterized by intricate arrangements and lyrical depth. Doulcet’s subsequent albums, including *D’un rivage à l’autre* (2011) and *Échappées* (2018), have garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards, including multiple ADISQ awards (Québec’s equivalent of the Juno Awards).
