Jazz Gitan, born Karim Othman, is a French jazz guitarist and composer renowned for blending traditional Gypsy jazz (Manouche) with influences from bebop, funk, and Latin music. Emerging in the early 2000s, he quickly gained recognition as a virtuoso performer, initially through street performances and collaborations within the Parisian jazz scene.

He formed his core quartet – featuring Antoine Boyer on guitar, Samuel Rouesnel on bass, and David Sainson on drums – which became instrumental in defining his signature sound. Jazz Gitan’s style is characterized by rapid-fire picking, complex chord voicings, and a deeply rhythmic drive.

He has released several critically acclaimed albums including *So Many Steps* (2012), *Cinq Routes* (2015), and *Le Temps Près De Moi* (2019), consistently charting on French jazz album lists. Beyond studio work, Jazz Gitan tours extensively internationally, performing at major jazz festivals like Jazz à Juan and garnering a dedicated following for his energetic live shows. He's also known for collaborative projects with artists spanning diverse genres demonstrating his versatility.
