Jaz Karis is a British singer-songwriter and producer rapidly gaining recognition for her genre-bending sound, often described as alternative R&B with elements of jazz, neo-soul, and electronic music. Emerging in the early 2020s, Karis initially built a following through independent releases on platforms like SoundCloud before signing with Platoon.

Her debut EP, *Petty Grief* (2021), established her introspective lyricism and distinctive vocal delivery, garnering critical acclaim from publications like *NME* and *Complex*. Karis’s production style is notably self-sufficient; she writes, produces, mixes and masters much of her own material.

She followed up with the critically lauded *Buried Alive* EP (2023), exploring themes of vulnerability and self-discovery.
