Experience Jason Lee
Jason Lee (born Jason Michael Lee, July 19, 1975) is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for his blend of indie folk, Americana, and dream pop. Initially gaining recognition as the frontman for the critically acclaimed band Red House Painters (later renamed Mark Kozelek's Sun Kil Moon), Lee contributed significantly to their atmospheric and emotionally raw sound throughout the 1990s, performing on albums like *Mainstream* (1995) and *Lucky* (1996).
Following his departure from Sun Kil Moon, Lee pursued a solo career, releasing several albums including *American Ghost* (2004) and *Golden Hour* (2016). His solo work maintains a similar introspective lyrical style but often incorporates more electronic textures and ambient soundscapes.
Lee’s music is characterized by delicate fingerpicking guitar work, hushed vocals, and deeply personal narratives exploring themes of memory, loss, and the passage of time. He has toured extensively both as a solo artist and with Sun Kil Moon/Mark Kozelek.
