Jan Sturiale is a highly respected American guitarist, composer, and educator renowned for his mastery of the seven-string guitar and unique compositional voice within jazz fusion. Emerging in the 1980s, Sturiale initially gained recognition touring with jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, contributing significantly to albums like *Individual Choice* (1983) and *Deception* (1984).
He subsequently launched a prolific solo career, releasing albums such as *New Horizons* (1985), *Invisible Love* (1992), and *Sturiale* (2007), consistently demonstrating virtuosic technique blended with sophisticated harmonic concepts. His style incorporates elements of jazz, rock, classical music, and world music influences.
