He studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London and Berklee College of Music in Boston, graduating with honors.
Petryka’s style blends elements of Pat Metheny, Ralph Towner, and Bill Connors, characterized by harmonic sophistication, lyrical melodies, and extended-range techniques utilizing a custom 8-string guitar. He has released numerous critically acclaimed albums including “Animated Conversations” (2003), “Second Decade” (2013), and “Upward Spiral” (2018), consistently receiving positive reviews from publications like *Guitar Player* and *Vintage Guitar*.
