Jan Mráček is a Czech classical guitarist rapidly gaining international recognition for his virtuosity and innovative approach to the instrument. Born in 1991, he began guitar studies at age six and quickly distinguished himself, winning numerous national and international competitions including first prize at the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America International Competition in 2019 – a feat rarely achieved by European artists.

Mráček’s repertoire spans from Bach and Tarrega to contemporary compositions, but he’s particularly known for his transcriptions of orchestral works for solo guitar, showcasing both technical brilliance and musical sensitivity. He frequently collaborates with orchestras and other musicians, expanding the possibilities of the instrument.
