James Baillieu is a highly regarded British pianist, celebrated for his sensitive and insightful collaborations as an accompanist and soloist. He rose to prominence winning the 2011 Wigmore Hall Song Competition prize, alongside Roderick Williams, launching a prolific career focused on vocal accompaniment.

Baillieu frequently performs with leading singers including Dame Felicity Lott, Ian Bostridge, and Alice Coote, at major venues like the Carnegie Hall, Barbican Centre, and the Sydney Opera House. He’s a sought-after partner at festivals including Aldeburgh, Tanglewood, and Schubertiada Vilabertran.
