Born in Quebec City, she received her formal training at the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec with Marc Durand, and furthered her studies in New York with Claude Frank and in London with Imogen Cooper.
Demers gained international recognition after winning First Prize at the prestigious Concours de Genève in 2014. This victory launched a busy concert career, encompassing performances with major orchestras worldwide including the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich.
